On the afternoon of September 18th, Academician Weng Yuqing, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, came to Changshu Longteng Special Steel Co., Ltd. to conduct an on-site inspection of the company's technological innovation and business development. Changshu City Association for Science and Technology Chairman Bu Hongchang, Meili Town Party Committee Member Shi Mei, Changshu Longteng Jiao Shujun, deputy general manager of Special Steel Co., Ltd. accompanied the inspection.

In the afternoon of the same day, Academician Weng Yuqing and his entourage went to Longteng Company and visited the production workshops of the 850 steel rolling branch, steel rod branch and bearing steel ball branch. They learned in detail about the production situation of the workshop, and also discussed the production process and equipment. There were in-depth exchanges with the person in charge of the branch on topics such as structure, principle and intelligent automation.

After the inspection, Academician Weng highly affirmed Longteng's achievements in safety and environmental protection, technological innovation, green development, and intelligent development. He said that intelligentization is a practical need for the transformation and upgrading of the steel industry. The restructuring of the competitiveness of the steel industry has created new opportunities. He believes that intelligence needs to go through a process of exploration, research and development, accumulation, integration, and innovation. He hopes that Longteng Special Steel will continue to explore and practice in intelligent steel manufacturing, dare to innovate, and become the pioneer and leader of intelligent manufacturing in the steel industry.
